Brightening Up The Playground At Welburn Hall

Hazel Smith, Headteacher at Welburn Hall Community School gave us a call. The tarmac playground at her school had been resurfaced and she was keen for our ideas on how it could be brightened up.

Following a site visit and some initial designs a budget was agreed and we installed the graphics in just three days during April 2016. The markings were installed on recently replaced tarmac play area and included a 1-25 Crocodile, a Rocket Hopscotch and a What’s the Time Mr Wolf game.

We also provided an A-Z Snake from a classroom door to the playground as well as a Sunflower Hopscotch and Rainbow in the sensory garden area.

During the installation the children were excited and enthralled with the new additions to their playground areas. They were a polite, happy group of children who provided our workmen with a continuous supply of tea and cakes throughout the job.

At first4playgrounds we would like to say a big thank you to all of them especially the boy who provided the meringue cakes! The school were so pleased with their new playground markings the headteacher sent us the following reference:
